How To Hide Friend Request Button On Facebook

How to hide the Facebook friend request button, preventing people who are not in your circle of friends from sending you friend requests.

Hi, today I have a quick tip to show you how you can stop random people who are not in your circle of friends by sending you a friend request. This is how you do it.

So you log in as your personal profile and go to the menu on the right and click on the drop-down menu. Here select the settings, and that will take you to the general account settings. But I will go to privacy. And there are a number of options here. But this is the key. Therefore, the default standard would be for everyone to send you a friend request. So I will change it now and just click close. And now I will return to my real profile. And the way I can simply verify that that change has taken effect is by clicking the 3 dots here and selecting view as.

This is what your profile for Public looks like. And as you can see, there is no longer an Add Friend button available. Now what I've done here is look for a friend of one of my friends, 10 mutual friends I have, so I can still see the option to add a friend there. While here I have randomly searched for another name that has no mutual friends, but since it still has the public option set, I could submit a friend request. So if Tony doesn't want people like me to randomly visit his profile, seeing what is publicly available, he should definitely see the settings edit, so friends of friends can submit requests. That's all from me.
